Scott began his career with a small publishing company in his home town of Santa Rosa. He quickly transitioned from lead illustrator to art director while he attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. There he helped spearhead their emerging Character Animation program, and was mentored by noted artist and illustrator Barbara Bradley. At Barbara’s behest Scott continued his education with the California Institute of the Arts, school of film and video where he graduated their prestigious Character Animation program in 2006.
Scott’s work has been seen everywhere from picture frames, and magazine ads, to children’s books, television commercials, and the big screen. Scott even sat down with master chef and tv sensation Guy Fieri to co-design menus and gift certificates for his restaurants. Scott’s out of the box thinking helped earn Farmers Insurance the award for “Best Animated Float” in the 2012 Annual Tournament of Roses Parade.
