Stumptown, a crime drama TV series created by Jason Richman and based upon a comic book series of the same name by Greg Rucka and Matthew Southworth, premieres this Fall on ABC. The show’s production team called upon 310 Artists’ Andrew Paul to create this stunning key art that draws in viewers by capturing the essence of the show and its characters.
Key art (or key visuals) are very high resolution promotional images produced in order to market a TV show or movie. These images usually accompany a trailer as a first look at the visual style and tone of the characters and the film/series as a whole.
Along with being used to promote the movie or show in the press, key art can be used for:
- Posters
- Environmental advertisements— outdoor signs, billboards, etc.
- Online advertising and websites
- Packaging for DVDs, Blu-Rays, and merchandise
- Online video services like iTunes, Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime
- Any other situation where official art is needed
It is likely that Andrew Paul’s work will be used throughout the entire life of the series to represent and promote the show. It looks like the series is shaping up to be a great one, and we are excited to see the premiere this Fall!
